What I Wore in September

September, for me, has been the month for running, as I have been donning my trainers much more in preparation for the Robin Hood Half Marathon. So I thought it was only fitting that race day should feature as this months doodle for my What I Wore today collection...

This is the first time I am running this kind of distance (Eeek!) and I am incredibly nervous but also very excited and pleased to be running in order to raise pennies for two very worthy causes, SANE and Macmillan.

For those of you who are curious (or want to come and cheer me on tomorrow!) this is the route I'll be ambling round in my lovely green attire - fingers crossed the hat stays on!

NB. I'm afraid the bow and arrow may not be present on my run but in my mind the doodle above is exactly what I will be looking like!

Introducing my new... FESTIVE CAMPERS!

Yup, the nights are starting to draw in, the cosy PJs are going on and the hot water bottles are coming out of hibination. It's that time of year again when the festive doodles come out too and this year I've been doodling up different kinds of Christmas cards.

As I've probably mentioned a few times before... I would LOVE to own and WILL one day own my very own VW Camper Van. A sunshine yellow split, just to clarify. But until I can afford one I doodle lots of them and sell greeting cards which feature said doodles.

So this year I thought I'd doodle some festive ones for Christmas and this is the outcome...

3 campers and 6 different card designs all complete with there own recycled brown envelope and yours to take home for £2 each, 3 for £5 or 8 for £10. You can give a Camper Van for Christmas this year or better still buy them for yourself and have your very own collection of campers!

Please get in touch through my facebook page, twitter or at bonjour[at]hello-sunshine.co.uk if you're interested in purchasing some campers this Christmas.

"It's a moto. What's a moto?"

"...Nothing... what's a moto with you?"

One of my favourite quotes from the Lion King, always makes me smile!

As does this lovely quote from Roald Dahl, which I just want to share with you all.

Thirteen miles. Two charities. One Jo.

Now I know there are A LOT of requests for sponsorships flying around at the moment and as long as you’re giving your pennies to one of the amazing causes that people are raising money for then I’m 100% happy and I don’t mind if you want to skip this request...

However... I’m going to tell you about what I’m up to anyway!

On Sunday 30th September I am attempting to run the furthest I’ve ever ran in my life at the Robin Hood Half Marathon. Training has been tough! I’m not going to lie, I would probably get on better if I stopped going to Annie’s burger shack and maybe missed out on the odd weekend beer or two but I’m slowly getting there and I’ve stuck at it!

As well as the personal challenge, I am running this far in the hope to raise some pennies for two brilliant charities who are doing fantastic work and provide a great support network for both pairs of my wonderful Grandparents! I don't mind which charity you donate to, whether it's Macmillan or Sane but if you could spare even a little it would mean a great deal to me and go a long way to helping.

You could even pop along on the BIG day and watch me huffing and puffing along the half marathon route to get your monies worth if you so wish. But don't forget to give me a wave if you spy me... I'll need all the encouragement I can get!

Oh and I'll be the bright red sweaty mess near the back...

Thank you very muchly for reading my waffle and thank you many more times in advance if you can spare a few pennies!
