House Warming Wishes...

I can't help myself!
I keep spying pretties all over the place...

Everyone needs a welcome mat don't they?
This will be mine one day!

Beautiful wall sticker that would look ace in my Kitchen!

Huge handmade trophy Stag head
Perfect for over that imaginary fireplace I have!

Just ring for a glass of cold lemonade in the summer...
Makes sense to have one in the garden doesn't it?

I think this would make a darn good place to hang pretty tea towels!

The theme in my kitchen is turning out to be red.
What better way to compliment it?!?

It's a good moto for life so why not?

Tea always tastes so much better in a little cup & saucer!
May as well extend my cup & saucer collection with this beauty.

He's yellow, he's called James & he cleans!
It combines 3 of my favourite things! I NEED him!
(James is my geek / other half by the way)

Ok so it's more practical than 'pretty'....
...but it's also necessary and may as well look smart!

Welcome to Sunshine Towers...

Finally I can share some pictures of my new home with you! Here are a few sneeky peeks into my little 'work in progress' castle! When I say castle I mean my cute little 2 bed house in Beeston!

As you will see I'm still a long way off making it into my home but it's getting there and rooms are starting to take shape.....

The Living room is a bit bare but the huge window which lets in all the lovely light makes it a nice place to sit even with minimal clutter.

The Living Room

The kitchen is a bit rough around the edges but will hopefully have a mini breakfast bar at far the end and with a new lick of paint will look yummy soon enough...

The Kitchen

The back spare room will have a desk & futon joining it soon to complete my studio come guest room space.... This will be where I spend most of my free time I imagine and look forward to all the Hello Sunshine treasures I'll cook up in here!

My studio / spare room

The bathroom is nearly all brand new so besides getting new towels and a bit of storage it's all set really. Oh and maybe a blind or curtain would be a good idea too! Eep!

Bathroom

Once I get my new bed frame and a few more bits of furniture so that my telebox has a home and I have a bit more storage this will be my chamber. My new mattress is amazingly comfortable so it's no surprise it's my fave room at the momento!

Bedroom

I have two very wild & unruly gardens at the front and back at the moment. These will be tamed and tidied ready for the BBQ season (YAY!) and in the future I would LOVE to look into growing my own veg but one step at a time for now...

Front Garden

Back Garden

So there you have it, the grand tour of Sunshine Towers as it is today! It's all very exciting and I can't wait to share more of the progress with you but for now I'll have to wish you farewell as it's time for tea and sandwiches! Nom!

Folksy feature & Craft Candy Fair!

On this beautifully sunny day I thought I'd take 5 mins from my pottering & basking to share a couple of small, exciting bits of news from Hello Sunshine.

This week I have been featured on Folksy's buying pages twice! Woop! The products that were showcased were the cheeky little 'Love Letter' wooden lapel pin and the lovely 'Tweet Talk' necklace. It was a lovely surprise to see & helped with the ol' sales lately too!

The other thing I am excited about is next weeks Craft Candy Spring Fair! Next Saturday, on the 26th March, the fair will kick off at 10am and will run through until 4pm.

Why not hop on the train and pop in the say 'Hi' and pick up something special for your Mum in time for Mother's Day on 3rd April. Lets hope the sunshine is there too!

Right... now back to the sunshine! Enjoy this lovely sunny weekend everyone!

Bye Bye Bridgford...

As off Monday 14th March I have been a Beestonite again! For the last 15 months I have had a great time sharing a house with 2 very good friends and a charming cat in West Bridgford.

It's been full of food, tea, chats, inappropriate jokes, wine & many more good times! It feels like a whirlwind of a time as it's sped by and I am sad to move out but it will be hard to forget these faces and the memories we've made....

I will miss Karl, Mickey & Rocky (the charming cat) very much and to mark the good times we shared and create a nice present for the lads, I have doodled a Burleigh Road Sunshine :)

Thanks for an awesome time guys - gonna miss you long time!

Best Family ever. Fact.

I have been a poorly bunny since coming back from Centre Parcs last week, which has meant moving, unpacking and generally doing anything came to a bit of a stand still, which in turn has resulted in a frustrated and sulky face on my part.

Thankfully though, I have the BESTEST family in the world! My parents have been amazing and have helped me no end over the weekend and while I've been off work in my sulking, useless state. And the smiles & laughs from little Lexie when I saw my sister made everything a squillion times better! I can't gush about how much they mean to me enough!

As you may remember I had started a Family portrait Sunshine project a while ago and before I went on my jollies I finally finished it. This weekend as a mini Thank you, I surprised Mum, Dad, Squidge (Jennie) & mini Squidge (Lexie) with the framed finished picture :)

The Want family... perfect in every way! Love you lots!

Have you got yours?

I'll be sporting the fantabulous Edmund Blackadder Vivienne Westwood Red Nose Day T-shirt this week.... which one will you be strutting your stuff in? Or maybe you're supporting Comic Relief in another way? Either way have fun doing something funny for money this year!

Moving home followed by a mini jolliday!

A superfast blogpost to bid you all toodlepip....

I am moving house this weekend and setting up my own little sunshine castle t'other side of the river in Nottingham, YAY! Following that mini adventure, I am then off to dwell in Sherwood Forest at Centre Parcs for a week so between tonight and my return on Monday 14th I'm afraid all will be pretty quiet in Hello Sunshine land....

But fear not, I shall be back soon with muchos to tell I'm sure! Toodlepip.... for now!

Teddies, Pooches & Pink!

Just a wee post to share some lovelies with you, these namely being my niece, some of my favourite teddies, a cute guilty purchase & some exciting pink wedding pretties!

The day Lexie met Abima and the rest of my Ugly Doll gang... I love my niece and I love my Ugly Doll collection so when they met last week I couldn't resist capturing the moment, especially the look of bemusement on Lil' Lexie's face. She did take a shining to Big Toe and his little ears though!

Pooches! I just couldn't resist Gemma Correll wonderful little Boston Teaparty pocket mirror when I saw it in her lovely Etsy shop!

Now be honest... you want one too don't you? And it came all wrapped up with this cheeky chappy stuck on the envelope too...

This image is from an old notebook I had at the start of last year for work - we had a de-clutter day in the office this week, hence the unearthing of this beaut of a pad. It made me smile again as much as it did the day I bought it!

And the PINK! You may remember a few posts back seeing the lovely slinky pink bridesmaid dress I'll be squeezing into in a couple of moths time... well the beautiful (slightly pink obsessed) bride to be sent out her beautifully made invitations this week too! So so pretty I wanted to share them with you too!

Ooo and not forgetting this cheeky hen party invite that came recently too! Very exciting! I feel a few pink cocktails and some fun times a brewing!

I'll be back soon with some more exciting news about my house move.... T minus 2 days now! Eep! I had better get a packing & a organising! It only seems 5mins since I moved here...
